Our Real Time Video Encoder (RTVE) is a useful desktop app that encodes and uploads video files to Simian (or to your own computer) without the need for complicated transcoding software. It's as simple as drag and drop!
Using this proprietary tool ensures you won’t have any issues with your video’s encoding, since the app automatically encodes your video with the proper settings – no need to deal with formats, codecs or other options.
Why use the RTVE app? If your video isn’t encoded properly and you upload it using our regular upload feature, Simian automatically makes a proxy version and stores that. This eats up storage space and takes additional time, too. That’s why we recommend using the RTVE app instead. Once you try it, you’ll never go back!
